Frequently Asked Questions

To help answer some of the questions you may have, I have compiled a few Q&A's that may be of help. However if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Why choose Andrew Hazard?

I give 100% every time. I love my job and this shows in the photos I take and the effort I put in. I am there to document your day where the photos revolve around the wedding and not the other way around. The day is all about you.

Do you work with another photographer?

No. I try and be discreet when I work and guests will soon get fed up having a lens pointing at them wherever they look.  I aim to capture the atmosphere of the day and not document every minute detail. However, the logistics of the wedding may require a second photographer such as 100+ guests or the groom getting ready at another location.

We are both camera shy - can you help?

Continually looking at the camera with a forced smile is tedious. Everyone looks so much better when they don’t realise they are being photographed. Just forget about me, enjoy your day and I will get some natural photos of you engaging with your guests.

How long will it take to do the formal couple shots?

This is entirely up to you but I would suggest 20 minutes. I can get a good variety of shots during this time. You are in control but I would recommend you don’t stay away from your guests for too long.

Do you take group shots?

Of course but I only take the group photos that you want and I do them swiftly so nobody gets bored. Warn your guests they are expected to be available for photos.

What type of albums do you offer?

All my albums are hand crafted in Italy by Graphistudio - the creator of the wedding storybook. There is an enormous variety of albums available to suit all budgets.

How many photos will we get?

There are no hard and fast rules as each wedding is different. I would guesstimate at anything from 400 upwards. Each photo is edited, hi res and ready for print. You can even make up your own album and all files can be given to family and friends so they can make their own prints.

We can't decide which package to go for - help!

You do not have to decide what you want until after the wedding. Pay for the DIGITAL PACKAGE first and only pay for an album afterwards when you have decided what you want.

Can we meet before the wedding?

Definitely! We need to discuss and plan your day. I can visit you or meet at the venue.

Can I expect any hidden costs?

If I am staying for the first dance I will require a hot meal.

When will we get to see our photographs?

They should be online within 2 weeks of the wedding and I will send you a link to download all your photos at the same time. Wedding books will take 2-6 weeks depending on the book type once they have been ordered. The complimentary wedding book should be delivered within 2-3 weeks.

How do we book you?

A date cannot be secured until a £300 non-refundable booking fee is paid and a contract signed. I will give you my bank details so you can pay electronically and I will of course send you a receipt. The balance needs to be paid 4 weeks before the day. A contract will also have to be signed which will protect the interest of both parties. My Terms & Conditions can be viewed here.
