Your wedding at The Royal Hideaway Hotel Formentor deserves photography that captures both the stunning Mediterranean setting and the authentic emotions of your day. I’m Andrew Hazard, a UK based wedding photographer specializing in documentary-style photography that is natural, joyful, and spontaneous.
From intimate vows on the hotel terrace to lively celebrations overlooking turquoise waters, every glance, smile, and candid moment is preserved in vibrant colour and timeless black & white. As someone who has photographed numerous weddings in Majorca, I know the best locations around Formentor to capture breathtaking portraits, dramatic landscapes, and unforgettable moments that tell the full story of your day.
With photography by Andrew Hazard, your wedding is documented authentically, elegantly, and creatively—so you can relive the magic, joy, and romance of your day for years to come.

The Formentor peninsula is iconic for its "Old Hollywood" glamour and raw Mediterranean beauty. As your photographer, I utilize the resort’s diverse "stages": the lush pine-shaded gardens for soft, dappled light; the historic 1929 architecture for elegant portraits; and the legendary Formentor beach for those classic turquoise-water shots. It offers a rare combination of high-end luxury and wild, untouched nature.
The lighthouse is just a short drive from the hotel and is spectacular for elopement or "day-after" sessions. However, due to traffic restrictions during peak summer months, I always help my couples plan the perfect timing (usually sunrise or late evening) to ensure we get those epic shots without the logistical stress.
Guests in Port Pollensa often make the memorable trip to Hotel Formentor by Catamaran.
For private and scenic portraits the sea-view terraces are unbeatable as they offer the Mediterranean as your backdrop without the crowds. For sunset portraits, the clifftop paths near the hotel or the iconic jetty provide that cinematic, "end-of-the-world" feeling that Formentor is famous for.
The Balearic sun can be intense! At Royal Hideaway Formentor, we leverage the natural shade provided by the ancient pine groves to keep your ceremony photos looking soft and flattering. I also recommend a "Golden Hour" session—usually an hour before sunset—to capture the warm, glowing light that reflects off the Formentor cliffs.
While Mallorca is famous for sunshine, the Royal Hideaway has stunning indoor plan-B options. The elegant, sunlit ballrooms and arched hallways offer a sophisticated, "Vogue-style" aesthetic for portraits, ensuring your gallery is beautiful regardless of the weather.
To ensure the highest quality and personal service, I only take a limited number of weddings each year. Once you’ve confirmed your date at the Royal Hideaway, simply fill in the form below to check availability. A deposit and signed contract will secure your date in my calendar.
