Son Pont is a historic 14th-century "Possessió" located in the scenic Puigpunyent valley. Unlike modern hotels, it offers a raw, authentic Mallorcan soul. For photography, this means incredible textures: weathered stone walls, a stunning manor house tower, and vast mountain views. It’s perfect for couples wanting a "rustic-elegant" look that feels deeply connected to the island’s heritage.
The venue is a treasure trove of locations! The ancient stone archways and the traditional courtyard (clastra) offer a dramatic, shaded light that is perfect for editorial-style portraits. Additionally, the surrounding olive groves and almond trees provide a soft, natural backdrop that perfectly captures the "Tramuntana" mountain vibe during the golden hour.
Yes! The interior of the manor house is filled with history and features large windows and white-washed walls that bounce light beautifully. If you choose an indoor setting, the historic chapel or the grand entrance halls provide an intimate, atmospheric glow that I can capture perfectly using high-end, low-light equipment without the need for intrusive flash.
Being in a valley, Son Pont can get quite warm. As your photographer, I’m used to the Mallorca climate. I focus on finding the natural shade provided by the manor’s towers and ancient trees to ensure you and your guests look cool and comfortable in every shot. I also plan the main portrait session for when the temperature drops and the light softens.
Absolutely. Son Pont is nestled at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains (a UNESCO World Heritage site). The garden terraces offer elevated views where the peaks provide a breathtaking, jagged silhouette against the sky. This is especially spectacular during sunset when the mountains turn a deep shade of purple and orange.
Son Pont has a very grand "Plan B." The covered terraces and the historic oil press (Tafona) offer immense character. These spaces allow us to keep that rustic Mallorcan aesthetic in your photos while staying completely dry. The stone architecture actually looks even more rich and textured on overcast or rainy days!
Yes, the spacious front lawn and the main courtyard are ideal for large group shots. The architecture of the manor house allows me to get a slightly elevated angle, ensuring that every guest is visible with the beautiful facade of the "Possessió" as a backdrop.
