Villa Italia Wedding Photography: Common Questions

What is the best time for photos at Villa Italia?

Because the Villa faces the harbor, the "Golden Hour" is spectacular here. In mid-summer, I recommend our creative portrait session around 8:15 PM. The sun sets behind the mountains, casting a soft, romantic glow over the Port d'Andratx bay that is perfect for unposed, cinematic shots.

How do we handle the "Grand Walk" from the church?

The walk from Nuestra Señora Del Carmen to the Villa is one of my favorite Mallorcan traditions. I use a long lens to stay ahead of the procession, capturing the candid cheers from onlookers and the spontaneous joy of you and your guests. It’s a 5-minute stroll that results in some of the most vibrant, "real-life" photos of the day.

Can we have our ceremony and reception all at the Villa?

Yes. Many couples choose the waterfront terrace for their ceremony to keep the entire day in one location. This is great for photography as it maximizes your time with guests. However, if you prefer a church wedding, the local Port d'Andratx church is just a few minutes away, offering a beautiful contrast between traditional stone architecture and the Villa's 1950s elegance.

Are there private spots for portraits near Port d’Andratx?

While the Villa is stunning, I often take my couples for a 10-minute "escape" to the nearby rocky inlets or the lighthouse pier. These spots offer a bit more privacy and a "wilder" Mediterranean backdrop to complement the sophisticated look of the hotel
